Backgrounds
Background fill layers are currently editor-only.
Backgrounds are fill layers that render behind video, images, overlays, and captions. They are useful for branded color washes, gradients, and subtle texture.
Current Status
Background fill-layer routes are not part of the public agent-facing API right now. Use the dashboard editor for backgrounds, or use media/image items when an API workflow needs a visual layer.
Tips
- Backgrounds should sit behind media, captions, and overlays.
- Keep opacity below 1 when a background is only for color wash.
- For agent workflows, prefer explicit media items until fill layers are reintroduced to the public API.
